Professional Biography

Ms. Fatima Abdulla Balfaqeeh is a UAE-based lawyer, independent arbitrator, and certified mediator with more than 20 years of professional experience in dispute resolution, procurement, and contracts across the public and private sectors. She is a Chartered Arbitrator and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, with extensive experience in arbitration and mediation proceedings conducted in both Arabic and English.

She is the Managing Partner of Balfaqeeh Advocates & Legal Consultants and has served in senior leadership roles in government and semi-government entities, including Acting Procurement Director at Tourism Development & Investment Company and Contracts Section Manager at Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority. Her practice focuses on construction, real estate, infrastructure, energy, insurance, and complex commercial disputes. She also advises on corporate governance, legislative drafting, and dispute avoidance strategies.

Ms. Balfaqeeh is actively engaged in the international ADR community and currently serves in leadership roles with various professional bodies. She is also an Adjunct Lecturer in Law and an approved trainer in arbitration, mediation, and procurement, contributing to capacity building and professional development in the ADR field.
