Professional Experience
Twenty-seven years’ litigation at the Supreme Court, High Court of Delhi, other High Courts in India, District Courts, Company Law Board, Competition Commission of India, Competition Appellate Tribunal, National Company Law Tribunal, National Green Tribunal, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and Arbitral Tribunals. The areas of practice include Constitutional Law, Corporate & Commercial Laws, Company Law, Arbitration, Mining Law, Competition Law, Banking, Consumer Law and Criminal Law (Appellate side).
Key accomplishments
Handled several matters as Legal Aid counsel for the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee. Provide pro bono legal advice and services to parties at the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court. Handled several matters on public law and civil liberties for Alliance Defending Freedom and the Christian Legal Association. Drafted the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008. Mentioned in the India Business Law Journal for the most significant deals and disputes for the year 2014. Member of Core Group on Competition Law, a research study team of the Competition Commission of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India to prepare Guidelines on Compliance on Competition Law by Enterprises. Formulated the Guidelines on Anti-competitive Agreements; Guidelines on Abuse of Dominance; and Guidelines on Regulation of Competition (2007-08). Participated in stakeholders meetings to draft rules and regulations for the Competition Commission of India (2006-09). Mentored and trained several law students and lawyers
