Selvanathan is a practicing Advocate and Solicitor with many years of trial and appellate experience. He is a member of the Bar of Malaya and the Bar of Brunei Darussalam.
He is also an Adjudicator and Arbitrator and is on the Panel of KLRCA. He has also completed the KLRCA Certificate Programme in Sports Arbitration. In addition, he is an Accredited Mediator with the Malaysian Mediation Centre.
Prior to legal practice, he has worked in the field of Natural Resources and the Environment.
