Ipshita Kajla is a non-lawyer mediator with a background in Human Resource Management, Talent search and organizational development. Between 2007 and 2016 she has held various key positions in companies in and outside of India. For the last 10 years Ipshita has been working on managing human conflicts in various corporate settings. Her role in HR involved her to resolve complex interpersonal conflicts arising out of diverse personal, professional and community reasons.

Ipshita brings to the table wide range of experiences in the human side of business. As HR lead in many companies, she is a gifted communicator who makes those around her feel welcome and at ease – regardless of their background, their culture and beliefs.

Personable, calm and non-judgmental, Ipshita creates a safe space that allows people to relax and be comfortable. She’s an excellent listener and intuitively asks the right questions that serve as stepping stones towards building a solution or an agreement.

MEDIATION IS THE WAY FORWARD

“I’m passionate about the process of mediation because it opens a space beyond who’s right or wrong. It’s a safe space that allows the human being to be seen and heard. No more blame game. Mediation empowers everybody involved. It places the responsibility and means to find common ground in their hands. I see my role as mediator to be a bridge between those around the table. I create the safe space, I facilitate the communication. No matter what the topic of the dispute may be, there is always potential for resolution – with an outcome that benefits all involved.”

Ipshita firmly believes that every disagreement has – by definition – the potential of an agreement that can be found by coming together and communicating openly to ultimately seek what truly matters for those involved.

“Mediation is possibly the fastest and most cost-effective means of resolving disputes.  I would ideally prefer to refer to a dispute as a “hurdle” –  people generally do not like to deal with disputes or problems, but can get over or around a hurdle and therefore a solution can be found.” Ipshita muses.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
