The value proposition I try to convey to people is not my applied positions or beliefs, but rather the underlying thought process I take in order to establish a position. As a foreigner to a legal jurisdiction, I have some very core principles, and then I kind of guide those core principles in a certain way. One example of a standard I personally set is that any observation, analysis, or advice be based on sources in their original language—so in Thailand: 1. Statutory provisions 2. Supreme Court decisions 3. Theses 4. Standards, explanations, manuals, etc. By following this as a framework, the applied positions that I express are my views through and through; they always have been and they always will be.
