Diora Ziyaeva is an international arbitration specialist with a decade of experience litigating complex cases under all major international arbitration rules, including ICC, LCIA, AAA/ICDR, and UNCITRAL. Ms. Ziyaeva represents clients from diverse industries in disputes governed by the laws of more than thirty nations across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and Russia, North America, Oceania, and North Africa.
Ms. Ziyaeva is a member of Dentons US LLP's Litigation and International Dispute Resolution practice groups in New York, where her focus is on investor-state arbitration, commercial arbitration and issues and disputes relating to public international law, as well as corporate law with an emphasis on the energy, mining, aviation and construction sectors.
Licensed in New York and Uzbekistan, Ms. Ziyaeva has been involved in over a dozen investment arbitration cases under the UNCITRAL Rules and the ICSID Convention/Rules, as well as in commercial disputes involving states and state-owned entities.
Ms. Ziyaeva is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham Law School where she is teaching a course on the Practice of Investor-State Arbitration. Her pieces have been published worldwide and she is a frequent guest lecturer in various U.S. law schools.
Ms. Ziyaeva was named as 2018 American Bar Association On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers. The honor, given by the ABA Young Lawyer's Division, recognizes young lawyers who demonstrate a "broad range of high achievement, innovation, vision, leadership, and legal and community service."
