Having previously spent 20+ years working between Hong Kong, the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands and the United Kingdom, Gwynn founded Perun Consultants in 2017.

Gwynn has worked as a forensic accountant and insolvency practitioner over a wide range of local and cross border engagements and has a proven track record in dealing with cases involving complex litigation or with contentious matters to resolve. Many of his appointments have related to companies affected by serious fraudulent conduct and so have involved significant forensic accounting, valuation, and asset tracing work.

He has regularly been appointed by various courts to act as liquidator or receiver of distressed companies, and also act as an expert witness, submitting affidavits and expert reports for use in court or arbitration proceedings particularly in relation to valuation and quantum matters. Gwynn has been recognized in Who’s Who Legal: Consulting Experts in the fields of both forensic accounting and quantum of damages, where he is described as having "a mind like a steel trap, according to respondents, who have the utmost confidence in his views on valuation issues and methodologies".

• Liquidator of Bay Capital Asia. Litigation in this case helped clarify Hong Kong law on the obligation of banks and other institutions to provide information to foreign court appointed liquidators.
