Sean McManamon has worked in the industrial plant construction and maintenance since 1991. His experience includes construction supervision, project management, project commercial proposal structure, turbine and generator maintenance, Failure Analysis, Turbine Maintenance and Installation, Baghouse and Electrostatic Precipitator Installation and Maintenance, Contract Review, Claims Management and Final Account/Settlements. His technical expertise includes gas fired and CCGT plant installation and maintenance.

During the course of his career he has held a number of senior management roles as well as project management and site level technical advisor roles. He also has held overall responsibility for the technical services on major power plant projects across Europe, CIS, Russia, Israel and Pakistan. He held various senior positions including Europe+ Regional Engineering Services Manager, EMEA Operational Director, President of Spanish branch of General Electric legal entity (Sociedad Anómina) and General Manager (Geschaftsfuher) for the German branch of a General Electric legal entity (Gmbh). He has directly supervised contractors in various countries and site teams of up to fifty personnel. He has lead cross functional teams of up to 200 people including Commercial Managers, Project Managers, Project Directors, Field Project Teams, Sales, Finance and Human Resources Managers.

He is currently works in the role of Independent Technical Expert, Dispute Adjudication Board Member and Arbitration Tribunal Member for thermal power plant construction and maintenance. This includes on-site investigations, technical reviews, assessment of multi-year service agreements, failure assessment and contract writing. He is available for assignments on Dispute Boards under Contractual Adjudication Agreements as well as an Adjudicator under Statutory Adjudication in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. He is available to advise on Statutory Adjudication schemes in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand as well as for appointment to Arbitration Tribunals with the Seat of Arbitration in England & Wales. He is a founding Director of the engineering consultancy Smith Chalmers Ltd
