Professional Biography
Mr CHA is a Hong Kong solicitor and GBA lawyer with a background in law and philosophy. He is currently a Senior Consultant at Messrs. Eddie Lee & Company (李偉明律師行) and a GBA lawyer with Long An Law Firm (隆安律師事務所), and was previously a partner in a boutique law firm specializing in commercial litigation and regulatory practice. He has substantial board and governance experience and has served as an independent non-executive director of several Hong Kong and U.S. listed companies, including 2535.HK, 8107.HK, 8132.HK, NASDAQ: SKBL, NASDAQ: ANPA and NASDAQ: BUUU. In these roles he has been involved in board oversight, audit and risk management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance matters across sectors ranging from construction and real‑estate to cross‑border business services. His professional training includes the Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets executive programme at the Wharton School, the Certified Trust Practitioner™ Accreditation Programme with the Hong Kong Trustees’ Association, the Hong Kong Specialist Certificate (Asset Management) and virtual asset training at the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute, general and family mediation training, and an Executive Certificate in China Business, Taxation and Law at HKU SPACE, as well as advanced international arbitration training. He advises on legal and compliance matters for YINSHENG E-PAY SERVICES (HONGKONG) LIMITED (銀盛支付服務(香港)有限公司), and provides specialised compliance advice to leading cross-border payment platforms such as XTransfer and Ksher. He is a visiting lecturer at HKU SPACE on Hong Kong company law, a regular speaker at the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute on cross-border litigation and securities enforcement, and serves on committees of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute and the Hong Kong Trustees’ Association, as well as acting as Legal Advisor to the Hong Kong Practical Philosophy Society (香港實踐哲學學會).
